Sub-Franchise

This term
A sub-franchise is a franchisee who is granted the rights to sell franchises within a specific region.

A sub-franchise, often seen in master franchising models, is an individual or entity that has been granted the right by a master franchisee to sell franchise units within a specific region. Sub-franchisees receive support and resources from the master franchisee, who acts as the intermediary between the franchisor and the local market. This model allows for faster expansion in targeted areas, with local sub-franchisees bringing knowledge of the region.
